With a scratched bumper corner we will sand down the area and fill the scratches before priming and ensuring that any filler and the primer are completely dry before applying the basecoat. On top of the basecoat we apply a clearcoat which seals the colour and helps make your car shine. Finally, we polish the area to ensure a lovely finish. With some colours, and with a location close to the wing we will need to extend the paintwork to ensure better colour match. Those lovely pearlescent colours have an extra stage, in between the basecoat and the clear coat, to add the pearlescent finish. Whole Bumper
(Painted)
With damage like this we will paint the bumper on the car. Here we will sand down and apply filler to the deeper scratches, this ensures a smooth and level surface upon which to apply the paint. After filling the scratches, drying and sanding them down we apply a primer coat, sand that to make it smooth and level. The basecoat, colour, is applied and dried before the clear top-coat is applied. This is then baked within the oven at 60 degrees or with an infrared lamp until hard enough to finely sand and polished to finish the panel and make it beautiful again. Whether it is the tailgate, bonnet, a door or the wing that has been damaged we will apply the same process. First, we need to sand down the area to assess the extent of the damage to the metal, we then reduce down any dents as far as we can and fill with a special body filler, this is then dried and sanded to reform the original shape. We apply a primer to the area and this is dried and sanded smooth before we apply the basecoat. The basecoat holds the cars colour and is matched to the adjacent panels. Once the basecoat is dry, we apply a clear coat to seal the paint, when that is dried hard it is lightly sanded to remove any fine dust particles and polished to a shine ready for you to collect. Wheels get easily damaged, mostly from kerbs, and can be unsightly. We can refurbish the front of the wheel for you. We take the wheel off and clean it thoroughly in our Aqua Blast machine. Any scratches and rim damages are filled and sanded to reform the wheel to its original appearance. The wheel is then painted in the correct colour and a clear coat applied before putting the wheel back on your car. Pronto services the Sussex region with branches in Eastbourne and Chichester.

Touch Up
If you are looking to touch up those small stone chips on the bonnet this can be done. We mix up the colour and using a specially designed ‘stick’ we dab colour into the stone chip. Once dry we apply a small amount of clear coat to cover the chips and stop the paint from washing away. Please be aware, that whilst it is better, you will still be able to see where the stone chips are. The only way to remove them completely is to respray the area effected. Sometimes the vehicle just needs a machine polish, either to remove the residue of sign writing or the scratches made but bushes or minor scrapes. This is a longer process than you may think; the area needs washing, then we use a special mixture of polish and cutting agent to remove the marks before applying a final wax polish to bring up the shine. Dark coloured cars will need an additional process to remove the swirl marks often called holograms. Pronto services the Sussex region with branches in Eastbourne and Chichester
